TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

One of my greatest inspirations for teaching has been said during an interview about Apple icon Steve Jobs: “He wanted you to be great; and he wanted you to create something that was great; and he was going to make you do that.” My inspiration has always been to bring out the greatness from the untapped potential in our students. The ability to be able to see great designs and collaborate with great designers and artists has been an inspiration and reward in itself. The designers and artists are sometimes found amongst our colleagues while other times are found right in our classrooms in the students we teach, which is the inspiration that drives me.
